10th Mountain 2000

Map Gallery

Below is the official 10th Mountain Trail map of our trip to Uncle Bud's Hut. Click in one of the areas to see a detailed topo map of our actual track, complete with GPS time stamps accurate to the second. The times will all be 2 hours high, because I forgot to tell my GPS program to use MST instead of EST.

These are all the digital photos I took on the trip, except for a couple I threw away, slightly beefed up in Photoshop. Click on a thumbnail to see a bigger picture.

For Tom, Paul and Jeff: don't try to print these pictures at any size larger than 2" wide -- they won't look very good on paper because they are low resolution for viewing on your monitor. If you want to print them yourself, let me know which ones and I will put high resolution versions online. Unfortunately I don't have the web space to store all of them that way, and emailing all of them is impractical.

If you want me to print some for you, at size 4x6 on glossy paper, let me know. My printer can probably do up to 10 pictures for each of you before it gets tired.

Of course, my camera has also recorded the exact date and time of each photo, as well as the GPS coordinates, elevation, temperature, and how many calories each of us consumed up to that point.
